Rather than spotlight Jimmy’s commercial fame, this piece honors his true legacy as a songwriter and storyteller, shaped by his early days as a young musician in Mobile, Alabama, and the coastal influence of Key West.
Raised by Parrothead parents, I grew up listening to Jimmy’s music, and this piece reflects that lifelong connection.
