Story & Inspiration

Mike Trout captures Angels outfielder Mike Trout a split second before sending a baseball into the stratosphere, bands of navy blue and red backing the Angels colors, drips, polka dots, and splatter paint building the visual energy and power that mirror his playing style.

Widely considered one of the greatest and most complete players baseball has ever seen, Trout debuted full-time in 2012 with arguably the greatest rookie season in MLB history, hitting .326 with 30 home runs and 49 stolen bases to easily win AL Rookie of the Year. He has since been named American League MVP three times, in 2014, 2016, and 2019, and remains a true five-tool player, excelling at hitting for average, hitting for power, running, fielding, and throwing, all in a career spent entirely with the Los Angeles Angels. In 2019, he signed a 12-year, $426.5 million contract extension, the largest in the history of professional sports at the time.
