Pierce Brosnan: The Elegance and Edge of 007

Pierce Brosnan Is James Bond is the third piece in my James Bond series, honoring the actor who defined 007 for a generation. Brosnan, the fifth actor to take on the role, brought a sharp, cinematic elegance to the character in four films from 1995 to 2002. His first appearance, behind the wheel of a 1965 Aston Martin DB5 in GoldenEye, became a key inspiration for the painting.

The background features a repeated Aston Martin DB5 pattern. From afar, it appears decorative, but up close it reveals the iconic car tied to Brosnan’s Bond debut. Brosnan was also the first Bond to wear an Omega watch, a detail reflected in the portrait for fans who appreciate the evolution of the character’s image. Aluminum-based black glitter accents the bow tie, lapels, buttons, and gun to catch the light, while a hidden Union Jack spot varnish anchors the painting in Bond’s British identity. Brosnan’s eyes follow you across the room, bringing presence and tension to the portrait.

4 coats of UV-blocking acrylic varnish form a permanent, non-removable film that resists yellowing and fogging.
