Ryan Reaves “Smooches” captures the moment the St. Louis Blues enforcer blew an endearing kiss toward the Dallas Stars bench after fighting one of its players, set against a white background with subtle texture, just like the rink.
The moment happened on May 3, 2016, during Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Reaves fought Stars forward Curtis McKenzie late in the third period, and after sending McKenzie to the ice, he was escorted off by a referee, blowing the kiss toward the Dallas bench before heading to the locker room. Originally drafted by the Blues in the fifth round, 156th overall, in 2005, the 6'2", 225-pound winger established himself as a premier NHL enforcer during his seven seasons in St. Louis, from 2010 to 2017.
