Palm Beach Illustrated’s Palm Beach Dandies: Lilly Edition
I am not sure if I have ever been called a dandy before, but when Palm Beach Illustrated names you one, and puts you in the same company as Tommy Hilfiger, Nick Mele, Joseph Singer, Arvo Katajisto, and Agustin Arellano, you graciously accept the compliment.
The March 2025 issue of Palm Beach Illustrated celebrates the iconic American designer Lilly Pulitzer, and its new “Men’s Stuff” collection, in collaboration with the annual Palm Beach Dandy spread. Lilly’s new men’s line features a modern take on refined, individualistic style, blending classic elegance with a touch of the unexpected.
Adding to the excitement, I had the opportunity to be one of the first to wear the newly launched Lilly Pulitzer “Men’s Stuff” collection—a fresh take on the brand’s signature bold prints, tailored specifically for men. If you’ve ever wondered what Palm Beach style looks like in 2025, this collection is it. It is an honor to be featured among such an incredible group of Palm Beach tastemakers, all of whom bring their own unique flair to this town and certainly to this story.
Behind the Scenes of the Shoot
For this special issue, I had the pleasure of being photographed by none other than Nick Mele, whose ability to capture Palm Beach’s signature charm has earned him a reputation as a modern-day Slim Aarons. Nick is known for his storytelling through photography—each frame filled with wit, character, and a distinct sense of place. We had a blast staging different shooting locations around the gorgeous Brazilian Court hotel in Palm Beach, and even managed to talk a little shop in between shots.
The feature, written by the talented Stephanie Gates, highlights not just fashion, but the personalities and creative forces shaping Palm Beach today. It was surreal flipping through the pages and seeing my name alongside legends like Tommy Hilfiger, whose influence on American style is undeniable.
THANK YOU
A heartfelt thank you to Daphne Nikolopoulos, Editor-in-Chief of Palm Beach Illustrated, for including me in this incredible issue. It’s always an honor to be recognized for my work, but even more so in a publication that has been a staple of Palm Beach culture for so long.
To Stephanie Gates, thank you for crafting such a great story, and to Nick Mele, your vision behind the lens made this experience even more special.
Lastly, thank you to the Brazilian Court for providing a beautiful backdrop to the photos, and for your patience and generosity as our creative minds ran around the property.
The March 2025 issue is out now—and judging by how fast it is flying off the shelves, you will want to grab a copy before it’s gone.
Happy reading,
Kyle
