The second installment in my "Jackie" series, in which Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis travels the world through her famous sunglasses. This portrait shows Jackie gazing at the iconic Colony Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida. Built in 1947 and now dubbed the "Pink Paradise," The Colony has hosted an array of famous people over the years, including the Kennedys, whose "Winter White House" was just up the street on Ocean Blvd.
This poolside scene combines the look of the hotel in the 1960s with the modern pink paint job and landscaping. The original 48"x32" acrylic portrait on canvas features high gloss sunglass lenses over a satin varnish.
Note: Gallery-wrapped canvas is only available in 16x24, 20x30, and 24x36. The spot varnish is only on the original painting and not the prints.
Original painting sold to a private collector.
