Adolfo Cambiaso is considered the greatest polo player of all time. In honor of his 50th birthday, the U.S. Polo Association commissioned a painting to celebrate his career and legendary horse, Dolfina Cuartetera. This portrait captures what the GOAT is known for - his focus and intensity on the field, and the pride he has for his home country of Argentina.
Adolfo and his son, Poroto, are instantly recognizable on the field by their Argentina flag-inspired helmets, which inspired the background’s dominant color palette of blue and orange. Combined with green for the grass, the colors show through the subjects to serve as reflections of the field, stadium, and competitors around them.
