Busch Stadium, lit up and larger than life
“Busch at Night” captures the current Busch Stadium, which opened in 2006 and crowned the St. Louis Cardinals World Series Champions in its very first season. The third stadium to bear the Busch name, it carries forward one of the most storied franchises in Major League Baseball.
Inside the Art: The Story Behind “Busch at Night” Busch Stadium
The Cardinals have won the second-most World Series titles in MLB history, behind only the New York Yankees, and that legacy has helped St. Louis maintain its reputation as one of the most die-hard baseball towns in the country. This painting captures the energy just outside one of the stadium’s entrance gates as fans celebrate a win, with eleven red pennants in the background representing the franchise’s eleven World Series championships.
A wash of light spills down from the stadium above, reflected in drips and polka dots across the wet street outside, with a warm glow radiating from within. The result is a painting less about the game itself than the feeling of being just outside it, part of a crowd, still buzzing from a win.

Print Technique & Materials
Prints are reproductions of original paintings using a high-quality inkjet printing technique known as "giclee."
Unframed and framed artwork is printed on archival cotton rag paper, which is acid free and will resist fading and discoloration for generations. Unframed prints on paper are unsigned and feature a 1.5"-2" white border around the image. Most unframed prints are non-standard sizes and will require a custom mat to properly display the artwork, though the outer dimensions of the mat will fit standard frame sizes.
All framing is custom made to the exact specifications of each image, with an acid-free white mat and acrylic glazing (glass is prone to breaking when shipped). Most prints are non-traditional sizes and will not fit properly in mats or frames purchased off the shelf, therefore custom framing is recommended.
Canvas prints are referred to as "gallery-wrapped" because the color or image wraps around the sides of the canvas and it is stapled on the back. The canvas is wrapped around 1.5" deep wood stretcher bars and arrives ready to hang.
Framed canvas prints feature a "float frame," which has a 0.25" gap between the edge of the canvas and the frame moulding. The frame is 2" deep.
Custom Mat for Unframed Paper
Most unframed prints are non-standard sizes and will require a custom mat to properly display the artwork, though the outer dimensions of the mat will fit standard frame sizes.
You can purchase a custom mat from your local frame shop or online. If online, we suggest Matboard & More. Choose Arctic White in Decorative Quality, or if you prefer to upgrade, select White Art in Conservation Quality.
