Jimmy Buffett, the Storyteller - Fine Art Print
Artist Kyle Lucks grew up listening to Jimmy Buffett, thanks to his Parrothead parents. Instead of celebrating his commercial success, this work honors Jimmy’s career as a poet and master storyteller. The Palm Beach resident made everyone feel like they were in paradise.
The background references Jimmy’s days as a young musician in Mobile, AL, a nautical chart of Key West, and handwritten song lyrics. The parrot over his heart symbolizes his love for performing to millions of adoring fans around the world.
This deeply layered portrait of Jimmy Buffett by contemporary artist Kyle Lucks captures not just the iconic singer’s image—but his soul. More than a painting, this piece is a love letter to Buffett’s legacy as a storyteller, songwriter, and cultural legend, blending visual artistry with lyrical nostalgia.
A Palm Beach local, Buffett touched millions with his songs, his lifestyle, and his unwavering love for the sea. The background of the painting features handwritten lyrics, a nautical chart of Key West, and references to Mobile, Alabama, where Buffett’s journey began. A parrot, inspired by an early Margaritaville logo, is placed over his heart to symbolize his bond with his fans—the Parrotheads who turned concerts into a global community.
To honor the depth of Buffett’s lyrics, Kyle incorporated his signature spot varnish technique, adding a hidden typography layer that shines in the light. The quote? A line from Buffett’s favorite song he ever wrote, Twelve Volt Man: "Ask for some palm trees, or tales from the South Seas, and I just might turn your head."
It’s a painting that tells a story - and invites you into it.

Custom Mat for Unframed Paper
Most unframed prints are non-standard sizes and will require a custom mat to properly display the artwork, though the outer dimensions of the mat will fit standard frame sizes.
You can purchase a custom mat from your local frame shop or online. If online, we suggest Matboard & More. Choose Arctic White in Decorative Quality, or if you prefer to upgrade, select White Art in Conservation Quality.
Print Technique & Materials
Prints are reproductions of original paintings using a high-quality inkjet printing technique known as "giclee."
Unframed and framed artwork is printed on archival cotton rag paper, which is acid free and will resist fading and discoloration for generations. Unframed prints on paper are unsigned and feature a 1.5"-2" white border around the image. Most unframed prints are non-standard sizes and will require a custom mat to properly display the artwork, though the outer dimensions of the mat will fit standard frame sizes.
All framing is custom made to the exact specifications of each image, with an acid-free white mat and acrylic glazing (glass is prone to breaking when shipped). Most prints are non-traditional sizes and will not fit properly in mats or frames purchased off the shelf, therefore custom framing is recommended.
Canvas prints are referred to as "gallery-wrapped" because the color or image wraps around the sides of the canvas and it is stapled on the back. The canvas is wrapped around 1.5" deep wood stretcher bars and arrives ready to hang.
Framed canvas prints feature a "float frame," which has a 0.25" gap between the edge of the canvas and the frame moulding. The frame is 2" deep.
