Palm Beach Polo: Hermès Elegance Meets Equestrian Sport
Palm Beach Polo is a one-of-a-kind artwork by Kyle Lucks, painted directly onto a vintage Hermès silk scarf titled Le Monde du Polo (The World of Polo). Released in the late 1980s, this rare design showcases global polo scenes, with “Palm Beach” centered - a nod to the prestigious Hermès Cup once held at the Palm Beach Polo Club. Lucks drew inspiration from a 2024 U.S. Open Polo Championship photo and mounted the scarf on a custom wood panel, preserving its integrity. Featuring deep blues, teals, browns, and crisp whites, Palm Beach Polo blends Hermès history, equestrian prestige, and fine art craftsmanship.
Inside the Art: The Story Behind Palm Beach Polo
Palm Beach Polo is a one-of-a-kind original artwork by Kyle Lucks, painted on an authentic vintage Hermès silk scarf titled Le Monde du Polo (The World of Polo). Released in the late 1980s, this rare scarf is one of the few polo-themed designs ever produced by the iconic French fashion house. Its illustrated scenes celebrate the sport around the world, and the city name “Palm Beach” is prominently featured near the center of the design.
Lucks was inspired by Hermès’ origins as a Paris-based harness and saddle maker, as well as by a powerful moment from the 2024 U.S. Open Polo Championship finals in Wellington, Florida. The match featured legendary player Adolfo Cambiaso competing against his son, Poroto, and served as a visual reference for this painting. Wellington is considered the winter capital of the equestrian world, making it the perfect setting for this tribute.
Using rich tones of navy, blue, teal, brown, and white with touches of red, the artist preserved the scarf’s integrity by building a custom wood support. This thoughtful presentation reflects the same craftsmanship that Hermès brings to its handmade saddles and luxury goods.
Palm Beach Polo is a fusion of fashion history, elite sport, and equestrian elegance. With its connection to both local polo culture and international design heritage, this piece offers collectors a unique blend of fine art and timeless storytelling.

Print Technique & Materials
Prints are reproductions of original paintings using a high-quality inkjet printing technique known as "giclee."
Unframed and framed artwork is printed on archival cotton rag paper, which is acid free and will resist fading and discoloration for generations. Unframed prints on paper are unsigned and feature a 1.5"-2" white border around the image. Most unframed prints are non-standard sizes and will require a custom mat to properly display the artwork, though the outer dimensions of the mat will fit standard frame sizes.
All framing is custom made to the exact specifications of each image, with an acid-free white mat and acrylic glazing (glass is prone to breaking when shipped). Most prints are non-traditional sizes and will not fit properly in mats or frames purchased off the shelf, therefore custom framing is recommended.
Canvas prints are referred to as "gallery-wrapped" because the color or image wraps around the sides of the canvas and it is stapled on the back. The canvas is wrapped around 1.5" deep wood stretcher bars and arrives ready to hang.
Framed canvas prints feature a "float frame," which has a 0.25" gap between the edge of the canvas and the frame moulding. The frame is 2" deep.
Custom Mat for Unframed Paper
Most unframed prints are non-standard sizes and will require a custom mat to properly display the artwork, though the outer dimensions of the mat will fit standard frame sizes.
You can purchase a custom mat from your local frame shop or online. If online, we suggest Matboard & More. Choose Arctic White in Decorative Quality, or if you prefer to upgrade, select White Art in Conservation Quality.
