Story & Inspiration

Sean Taylor entered Washington’s training camp in 2004 as the fifth overall pick, ready to light up the NFL. By 2007, Sports Illustrated had named him “The Hardest Hitting Player in the NFL.” That same year, his life was cut short in a home invasion.

Taylor played only three seasons, but everyone around the league knew he was an all-time talent in the making. Few players worked harder or hit harder, and this portrait honors both his ferocity on the field and the legacy he left behind in such a short career.
