The speed and power of polo, frozen in motion
On the Attack captures the speed, power, and elegance of professional polo in motion. Painted live at the National Polo Center in Wellington, Florida, this piece freezes a split-second of high-stakes action: two players locked in pursuit as their horses thunder across the field. Inspired by America’s polo legacy and the sport’s royal ties, I use bold color, textural splatters, and an expressive style to bring the ground to life.
Inside the Art: The Story Behind On the Attack
On the Attack is a bold and energetic tribute to the sport of kings, polo, captured through the textured, movement-rich lens of I. Painted live at the National Polo Center in Wellington, Florida, the work was completed as part of a charity auction for The Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis, with guests including honorary chairs Dawn and Tommy Lee Jones, Senator Mitt Romney, and Ann Romney.
This acrylic painting freezes a dramatic moment in play as two elite polo players battle for position, their horses kicking up turf at nearly 35 miles per hour. The expressive style, defined by my signature paint drips, splatters, and textured strokes, brings the feeling of the match to life, from flying divots to the rumble beneath the hooves. Wellington, now considered the world’s polo capital, draws royalty, celebrities, and top athletes to Palm Beach County each season.

Print Technique & Materials
Prints are reproductions of original paintings using a high-quality inkjet printing technique known as "giclee."
Unframed and framed artwork is printed on archival cotton rag paper, which is acid free and will resist fading and discoloration for generations. Unframed prints on paper are unsigned and feature a 1.5"-2" white border around the image. Most unframed prints are non-standard sizes and will require a custom mat to properly display the artwork, though the outer dimensions of the mat will fit standard frame sizes.
All framing is custom made to the exact specifications of each image, with an acid-free white mat and acrylic glazing (glass is prone to breaking when shipped). Most prints are non-traditional sizes and will not fit properly in mats or frames purchased off the shelf, therefore custom framing is recommended.
Canvas prints are referred to as "gallery-wrapped" because the color or image wraps around the sides of the canvas and it is stapled on the back. The canvas is wrapped around 1.5" deep wood stretcher bars and arrives ready to hang.
Framed canvas prints feature a "float frame," which has a 0.25" gap between the edge of the canvas and the frame moulding. The frame is 2" deep.
Custom Mat for Unframed Paper
Most unframed prints are non-standard sizes and will require a custom mat to properly display the artwork, though the outer dimensions of the mat will fit standard frame sizes.
You can purchase a custom mat from your local frame shop or online. If online, we suggest Matboard & More. Choose Arctic White in Decorative Quality, or if you prefer to upgrade, select White Art in Conservation Quality.
