"The Stirrup Collection" - Print of Original Horse Painting on Hermès Silk Scarf, By Artist Kyle Lucks
The Stirrup Collection
Giclée Print Available of Original Painting by Artist Kyle Lucks
Original painting sold to private collector.
The French fashion house Hermès and its signature orange color are known around the world, but most people probably aren’t aware it began as a harness maker in 1837 in Paris. The brand has maintained its equestrian roots as a title sponsor of Wellington’s world-renowned Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF).
The original of this work is painted on an authentic, 100% silk Hermès scarf, inspired by its founder’s collection of stirrups from around the world. Lucks built a custom wood support for the scarf, just as Hermès crafts made-to-measure harnesses and saddles.

Print Technique & Materials
Prints are reproductions of original paintings using a high-quality inkjet printing technique known as "giclee."
Unframed and framed artwork is printed on archival cotton rag paper, which is acid free and will resist fading and discoloration for generations. Unframed prints on paper are unsigned and feature a 1.5"-2" white border around the image. Most unframed prints are non-standard sizes and will require a custom mat to properly display the artwork, though the outer dimensions of the mat will fit standard frame sizes.
All framing is custom made to the exact specifications of each image, with an acid-free white mat and acrylic glazing (glass is prone to breaking when shipped). Most prints are non-traditional sizes and will not fit properly in mats or frames purchased off the shelf, therefore custom framing is recommended.
Canvas prints are referred to as "gallery-wrapped" because the color or image wraps around the sides of the canvas and it is stapled on the back. The canvas is wrapped around 1.5" deep wood stretcher bars and arrives ready to hang.
Framed canvas prints feature a "float frame," which has a 0.25" gap between the edge of the canvas and the frame moulding. The frame is 2" deep.
