Story & Inspiration

Tuscan Morning captures the rolling countryside of Tuscany bathed in early light, where early risers are rewarded with a stunning blanket of color. I created this piece as one of twelve paintings for Italian fashion designer Jennifer Tattanelli’s collection on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach, Florida.

Painted at golden hour, the piece captures the specific quality of early light over the Tuscan countryside: quiet, atmospheric, and rich with color. It offers a calm counterpoint to my more energetic city and portrait work, creating a serene landscape that reflects the stillness and beauty of the Tuscan hills as they wake in color.
