Story & Inspiration

The first time I walked Worth Avenue, I was struck by the lineup of luxury cars, Ferraris, Bentleys, Rolls Royces, casually parked like daily drivers. It was a vivid introduction to Palm Beach affluence. Worth After the Rain captures that moment of awe, just after a Florida downpour, where reflections in shallow puddles reveal towering palms and blue skies above.

Painted mostly with a rubber scraper, the piece captures the drips, splashes, and bold marks that define my process, offering a view from the ground up. The surface is only an inch deep, but it reflects entire stories: the Big Six luxury cars line the street, while the puddles tell a second story above, pulling viewers into a world of towering palms and blue sky refracted through water and artistic grit. It’s a study in contrast: luxury and weather, light and shadow, surface and depth.
